"Be Good to People"

Goal for Students

BE RESPONSIBLE by coming prepared to class, completing assigned work, and working towards success.

BE RESPECTFUL to others, yourself and property.

BE SAFE by keeping hands/feet/object to self, walking on the right side of the hallway, and following school expectations.

College and Career Readiness

Prepare our students for successful, post-secondary lives through both academic and social maturity.

We are excited about having the privilege of working with you! School supplies are important to a successful start; therefore, we recommend that students bring the following suggested supplies to school. They do not need to be new, but do need to be kept with students at all times.

  • a highlighter (any color)
  • plenty of #2 lead pencils (wooden or mechanical)
  • black or blue pens
  • a red ink pen for peer evaluation/editing activities
  • trapper or binder for organizational purposes
  • a two pocket folder of a different color for each class (these will be placed in the trapper/binder)
  • in math an additional 2-pocket, 3 pronged folder is needed to keep in the classroom
  • loose leaf lined notebook paper to be placed in trapper/binder
  • 2 spiral single subject notebooks-one for science and one for language arts
  • 8 to 12 colored pencils
  • markers for special projects
  • erasers (white out pens or bottles are NOT allowed at JMS)
  • post it notes, any color
  • a 3-holed zippered pencil bag to be kept in trapper
  • a smile and positive attitude
