Materials used in Art include, but are not limited to clay, paint, charcoal, oil pastels, chalk, plaster, wire, cardboard, buttons, paper, ink.
Topics Covered in Theatre
This class is an introduction to the different styles of acting such as improvisation, Stanislovski's Magic if and emotional memory recall, and open scenes. Students will perform monologues as well as a one act play. Students will also be introduced to different types of theatre as well as a history of the theatre.
Topics Covered in Debate
This class is an introduction to middle school debate. Students will learn the debate process such as how to do A.R.E., Refutations, POI"s, and how to flow a debate. Students will also learn media bias, point of view, and impacts. They will learn how to research for a debate, and how a debate is different and more effective than an argument. This course is based on the middle School debate model.
